NC State extended a scholarship offer to 2028 point guard Darren Ford (6’2″/180) yesterday.

This marks the second time Will Wade has offered Ford, previously extending an offer on February 25th when he was the head coach at McNeese State.

Ford also holds offers from Grambling State, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Kansas State, and others.

As a freshman this past season, Ford averaged 20 points per game for Ouachita Parish in Monroe, Louisiana, earning All-State honors. He is transferring to Ruston High School for his sophomore season.

Basketball runs deep in his family. Both his father and mother played basketball for Louisiana Tech. His grandfather is NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone, and his aunt is Cheryl Ford, a three-time WNBA champion and four-time All-Star.
