Former NC State All-ACC Infielder LuJames Groover Shines in the 2025 All-Star Futures Game

Former NC State All-ACC infielder LuJames Groover shined in the 2025 All-Star Futures Game on Saturday.

Groover started at third base for the National League, going 2-for-2 with a run.

He is the No. 10 overall prospect in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.

This season, Groover is batting .312 with 42 runs, 37 RBIs, 16 doubles, 10 home runs, and 30 walks. His OPS is .855.

Groover was drafted by the D-Backs in the second round of the 2023 MLB Draft with the 48th overall pick.

After transferring to NC State following his freshman season at UNC-Charlotte, Groover hit .348 with 113 runs, 97 RBIs, 23 home runs, 24 doubles, and 64 walks. His OPS with the Wolfpack was .992.

Groover earned Second Team All-ACC honors in 2022 and Third Team All-ACC honors in 2023.
