Former NC State Outfielder Josh Hogue has signed his contract with the Marlins, who drafted him in the 15th round of the 2025 MLB Draft with the 438th overall pick.

Hogue had 1 year remaining of college eligibility, but that is no longer in the cards after signing his contract.

After playing his freshman season in the junior college ranks at Santa Fe College, Hogue transferred to NC State prior to the 2024 season.

As a sophomore, Hogue was fantastic before suffering a season-ending injury against Ball State, finishing with a .314 batting average.

Hogue had a breakout campaign this year, leading the Pack in home runs (11, tied) and slugging percentage (.562). His .327 batting average ranked second on the team.
