NC State has just landed 6’5, 245lbs TE Hunter Provience from the FCS national champion Montana State Bobcats.

He appeared in 14 games for Montana State last year (he was a backup) and finished with 135 yards and a TD. He’s got good speed as you can see in the clip below and had 664 yards and 10 TDs as a senior for El Cajon Christian.

NC State’s TE’s had a ton of success this past year, leading the team in the final PFF grading.

Provience has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

He becomes the 7th transfer commitment for NC State this cycle, joining Miami Wide Receiver Chance Robinson, Penn State Safety King Mack, Georgia Cornerback Ondre Evans, Arkansas State punter Jackson Waller, ECU offensive lineman Jimarion McCrimon and Buffalo wide receiver Victor Snow.
