NC State Men’s Basketball Roster/Scholarship Breakdown After Whitty Commitment

After the commitment of 2026 guard Kingston Whitty, NC State now has seven players in place for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season.

The roster currently consists of:

1 returning player
5 transfers
1 prep commitment

It’s a mix that blends experience with long-term upside.

Three players are entering with just one year of eligibility remaining, giving the Wolfpack some immediate veteran presence. At the same time, four players bring two or more years of eligibility, helping build a foundation for the future under Justin Gainey.

At this stage, the roster is far from complete, but the structure is beginning to take shape. What you have now is a balance of plug-and-play contributors and developmental pieces.

The Wolfpack still have 8 more roster spots to fill.
