4-Star QB Gunner Rivers is Taking an Unofficial Visit to NC State Next Saturday for the UNC Game

4-Star 2027 Quarterback Gunner Rivers (6’3″/205) will be taking an unofficial visit to NC State next Saturday for the Wolfpack’s rivalry game against UNC.

This season, Rivers has led the Cardinals to a 12-0 record and region championship. He registered 2,813 pass yards and 44 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions.

The visit has been planned for over a month.

Gunner, the son of Wolfpack legend Philip Rivers, is the #41 overall player nationally in the 2027 recruiting class according to 247Sports, the #6 Quarterback and the #1 player in the state of Alabama.

Father and son were in to watch the Wolfpack practice back in the Spring on March 28th.

Rivers holds offers from NC State, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Boston College, South Carolina and Missouri. Many believe that Auburn is the favorite to land Rivers.

Gunner and #1 St. Michael Catholic boast a 13-0 record on the year, and will play Jackson next Friday in the Final Four of the 4A Alabama State Playoffs.

So far this year, Rivers has completed 71.7% of his passes for 2,813 yards and 44 touchdowns, while only throwing 5 interceptions.
