Tulane EDGE Harvey Dyson is Transferring to NC State

Tulane EDGE Harvey Dyson (6’3”, 250) is transferring to NC State.

Dyson took an official visit to Raleigh earlier this week before making his decision.

After spending his first three seasons at Texas Tech, Dyson broke out in his lone season with Tulane Green Wave this fall. He totaled 36 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, earning Third Team All-American Athletic Conference honors.

Dyson led the AAC in sacks and ranked third in tackles for loss, while posting a 90.4 PFF pass-rush grade, which ranked 19th nationally among edge defenders.

ON3 ranks Dyson as the No. 40 EDGE to enter the transfer portal this offseason. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Dyson becomes the 9th transfer commitment for NC State this cycle, joining UNC Running Back Davion Gause, Montana St. Tight End Hunter Provience, Miami Wide Receiver Chance Robinson, Penn State Safety King MackGeorgia Cornerback Ondre EvansArkansas State punter Jackson WallerECU offensive lineman Jimarion McCrimon and Buffalo wide receiver Victor Snow.
