The visit weekend proved to be a massive success for the Wolfpack staff, as Carter becomes the third commitment to emerge from it, joining:

LB Jake Godfree
DL Julius LaRosa III

Recruitment

NC State originally offered Carter back on November 11 and stayed consistently involved throughout the process.

His offer list also included:

Nebraska
UCF
Memphis
South Florida

Carter had official visits scheduled with Minnesota, Boston College, and Mississippi State, but those trips now appear unnecessary after his decision to run with the Pack.

Recruiting Profile

Both 247Sports and Rivals currently rate Carter as a 3-star prospect.

247Sports ranks him as:

No. 61 EDGE nationally
No. 77 overall player in Florida

Production That Screams Pass Rusher

Carter’s junior season at South Fort Myers High School was absurdly productive:

128 tackles
20 tackles for loss
17 sacks

Those numbers are video-game stuff.

At 6’5” with length, explosiveness, and elite production, Carter gives NC State another intriguing defensive piece in a rapidly growing 2027 class.

With Carter now in the fold, NC State’s 2027 recruiting class is up to seven verbal commitments, and the Wolfpack is far from done.
