NC State Guard Bryce Heard is Entering the Transfer Portal

NC State Guard Bryce Heard (6’5″/170) is entering the Transfer Portal.

Heard is a former four-star recruit who played just one season at NC State. The 6-5 guard is a native of Chicago, Illinois.

Heard was a late addition to the Wolfpack’s 2024 recruiting class last summer, deciding to graduate early and reclassify. He committed to NC State on July 24th and was rated as a 4-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals, with the latter ranking him as the #93 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class. Heard was part of a three-man recruiting class that included guards Trey Parker and Paul McNeil.

As a true freshman this season, Heard saw action in 24 games, averaging 1.2 points in 6.3 minutes per game while shooting 31.8% from the field. His best game of the season was in the opener, logging eight points and five rebounds in 16 minutes against USC Upstate.

Heard has three years of eligibility remaining.

Since the Transfer Portal opened yesterday, four Wolfpack players have entered, with Heard joining forward Ben Middlebrooks and guards Mike James and Dennis Parker Jr.
