Junior Wide Receiver Wesley Grimes just announced that he has re-signed with Savage Wolves, NC State’s Football NIL Branch (as a part of 1Pack), which means he will be returning in 2025.

Grimes ranks 5th on the team in receptions (21) and receiving yards (281) this season. He ranks 4th on the team in targets (32).

Last offseason, Grimes transferred back home after spending two years at Wake Forest. As a Sophomore last year, Grimes caught 20 passes for 339 yards and 4 touchdowns in 12 games. As a True Freshman in 2022, he played in 6 games, collecting 4 receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Grimes was a 4-Star prospect out of Millbrook High School here in Raleigh. ON3, 247Sports and Rivals all ranked Grimes as a Top-250 prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, with Rivals ranking him as the #36 overall player nationally, the #4 Wide Receiver, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

I mean no disrespect to Redshirt Junior Dacari Collins, but I would love to see Grimes start over him in 2025.

Grimes is the 14th player to re-sign with Savage Wolves.
