3-Star Tight End Tex Vaughn Commits to NC State!

3-Star 2026 Tight End Tex Vaughn (6’4″/230) verbally committed to NC State yesterday.

Vaughn was on an Official Visit to NC State this past weekend. He also took Official Visits to Boston College and Virginia Tech. Vaughn previously verbally committed to Boston College on May 24th, but decommitted the week before his Official Visit to NC State.

The Wolfpack offered Vaughn a scholarship back on January 4th.

ESPN ranks Vaughn as the #26 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2026 recruiting class.

He had 43 receptions for 713 yards and 11 touchdowns for Kings Mountain this season.
