OL Philip Walton Transferred from NC State to UNCC

Redshirt Junior Offensive Guard Philip Walton has officially transferred from NC State to UNC-Charlotte.

As a Graduate, Walton will be able to play his final year of eligibility right away for the 49ers next season.

Walton entered the season as Joshua Fedd-Jackson’s backup on the 2-Deep Depth Chart entering the 2018 season, but when Grant Gibson was moved over from the Defensive Line, Walton lost his spot for the remainder of the season.

In 2018, Walton played in 6 games on Special Teams.

Walton was a 3-star prospect in the Wolfpack’s 2015 recruiting class out of Charlotte Christian School, and will get to play his final year of eligibility in his home city.
