NC State Hosts Seven Prospects to Open 2027 Official Visit Season

NC State kicked off its 2027 official visit season this weekend, hosting seven prospects in Raleigh as the first of several big recruiting weekends to come.

The Wolfpack is building early momentum in the 2027 class, which currently features four commitments:

• 4-Star Quarterback Gunner Rivers
• 3-Star Tight End CJ Jordan II
• 3-Star Running Back Christian Freeman
• 3-Star Tight End Griffin Cockerham

Rivals currently ranks NC State’s class 40th nationally.

Two names to watch coming out of the weekend are Henderson and Dillon.

Both in-state prospects, and teammates at Southern High School in Durham, are trending toward NC State, with projections from ON3 and 247Sports pointing in the Wolfpack’s direction.
