Miami linebacker Raul Aguirre is transferring to NC State, officially signing with the Wolfpack less than 24 hours after entering the Transfer Portal.

Aguirre appeared in all 16 games for Miami this season, finishing with 43 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one pass breakup. While his overall PFF grade for the season came in at 63.1, his run defense stood out, earning an 86.3 grade, which ranked third on Miami’s defense.

As a true freshman, Aguirre played in 13 games and logged seven tackles in limited snaps. He took a larger role the following season, finishing with 27 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and a forced fumble across 10 games.
